Motor Home Living Part 1

Motor Home Living - Part 1

So here we are, in our forties, the kids have moved out, and we are tired of the rat race. Then the idea came, lets look into full time Motor home living.

Since I have a virtual career, and my wife is in accounting, this just might work.

No more mortgage payment, property taxes, sewage, water, home repair, and most of all, if I hate my neighbors, I can move in a day.

But now the real problem starts. How to get ready?

Over 25 years of junk. What do we keep? What do we store? What about the cars and boat?

So now we are in the planning stages and what a scaring thing. We have started looking at Motor homes at lots and RV shows. They are beautiful and cost a lot less than my Yuppy home.

So many questions come up about living in a motor home. Will we be happy? Will we get to see the world and still be comfortable? Will we meet new friends? Can we live with only one car?

Living On A Cruise Ship Is Catching On

Living On A Cruise Ship Is Catching On
 by: Jay Shipper

Well, living on a Cruise Ship is catching on.

Quite a few couples are now subscribing to world cruises and it is affecting the Cruise Ship industry.

In 2006 the Holland America Line is experiencing a 20 percent increase in the number of cruises longer than 12 days.

For 2007, the demand for world cruises for Cunard is so great the company is having two world cruises, including the Queen Mary 2’s first voyage around the world, an 80-day journey.

Silversea Cruises, a very, very exclusive Cruise Line has just launched a series of voyages of 34 to 123 days and is having its first around-the-world cruise in 2007.

And Crystal Cruises Inc. spokeswoman Mimi Weisband said that they saw a record number of bookings for this year’s 106-day world cruise.

Why is this happening?

Nobody likes flying anymore. It is not relaxing, you are stuffed like sardines in a tin can, you have to bring your own lunch, and have to take off your shoes.

Now think about cruising.

If you have an interest in beauty, art, architecture and the classic culture that gave us our civilization, then a visit to Greece is just the ticket. And a vacation rental of a villa, a beach house or another type of private home will give you a chance to experience this wonderful country that is impossible when going from hotel to hotel.

There are so many places in Greece that choosing a location for your vacation rental can be mind boggling. Choices include beach houses, apartments, cabins, condos, and other types of holiday homes. Securing lodging is easy though, when you see what is available. And the locations in Greece are wonderful. Crete, the largest of the Greek islands is beautiful and has many archeological sites to visit, as well as tourist attractions like Knossos and Phaistos. Crete was home to the ancient civilization of the Minoans, from 2600 BC to 1400 BC, and in more recent times gave the world the famous writer, poet and novelist Nikos Kazantakis.

As I planned my first visit to the stunningly beautiful country of New Zealand, I knew that I wanted the freedom and flexibility to visit everything from the Franz Josef Glacier on the South Island to the vineyards in Hawkes Bay on the North Island. Because I didnt want to waste a minute of my limited time waiting for buses or being constrained by a tour groups itinerary, I knew that I needed a New Zealand rental car to fully enjoy all that the country had to offer. What I quickly discovered was that the car rentals in New Zealand are not only affordable and convenient; they are ideal for exploring the vast array of sites on both of the countrys islands.

Edinburgh City Guide, Including Hotels
 by: Maria Williams

Introduction:

Edinburgh is one of the most famous cities in the world. It is the fastest growing place on the planet and there are a lot of reasons as to why this festival city is one of the most sought-after places for tourists to visit. The city is abuzz with activities the whole year round, be it the fireworks and stranger-hugging frenzy of the world famous New Year “Hogmanay” street party or the spell of arts shows that appear with delightful pomp during the “Edinburgh Festival” in August.

This bohemian city is also home to one of Europe’s most dynamic and successful financial centres. For the last decade or so, Edinburgh has achieved with resounding success the status as one of the leading centres in the world for finance, education and business. It is second only to London as the most important financial centre in Britain. Edinburgh has four universities. The oldest, the University of Edinburgh, was established in 1583. The city of Edinburgh epitomises a land that appreciates culture, history, heritage, beauty and, of course, life. Tourists love to flock to the city in the summer for the period between July and September. They would simply refuse to leave Edinburgh during the world famous Edinburgh International Festival, when the city is showered with exciting cultural activity.

Travelling? Serviced apartments are cheaper!
 by: Natalie Wakefield

The cost effectiveness of serviced apartments makes them an ideal second home for expatriates as well as business executives from overseas who require comfort to work and relax during short-term projects.

According to a recent survey carried out by Executive Roomspace, companies increasingly require accommodation for serviced apartments between 1 and 6 months.

Foreign banks and multinational companies are providing accommodation at different levels in the company hierarchy — from trainees who are given shared accommodation to senior management who are provided with one to three bedroom apartments, which can also accommodate their families.

The advantages are more spacious accommodation, usually including lounge or sitting area, quieter location, with increased privacy and security, a running household equipped with amenities such as a full kitchen, washing machine, fridge, television, air conditioning, Internet and telephone connection.

“Serviced apartments work out cheaper than hotel suites. Incidental costs are lower too, as residents can get food and other services from outside,” says Charles McCrow, Managing Director, Executive Roomspace.

Vacation in Italy - Private Holiday Homes versus Hotels
 by: Milan Matchev

Vacationing in Italy is a dream come true for so many Americans. Those who have Italian heritage often wish to see where their families originated. Those who have no Italian lineage still look upon Italy as one of the foundations of Western civilization. Rome, Venice, Tuscany, Florence, Umbria, Chianti, San Gimignano, Siena, Orvieto, Todi, Assisi, Spleto and Montepulciano are all legendary to those of us raised in the “new world” and for many are simply places we’ve read about in our school books, or seen on television or in the movies. Many Americans, sadly, know little of the geography of Italy, but do appreciate the food. After all, pizza and spaghetti are considered as American to us as apple pie and hot dogs. But only on a trip to Italy can a person really appreciate this magnificent country, home to Leonardo da Vinci, Michaelangelo, and Christopher Columbus.

Coventry City Guide, including hotels
 by: Maria Williams

Coventry is a city with a thousand years of history that has plenty to offer the visiting tourist. Located in the heart of Warwickshire, which is well-known as Shakespeare’s county, there are easy transport links to historic Warwick, Rugby and Stratford-upon-Avon. Additionally, there are many things to see and do in and around Coventry itself.

The city has many places of interest to the visitor. Coventry is renowned as a religious center with many important churches within its locale. The city also has many beautiful gardens that will fascinate those nature nature lovers amongst you. Similarly, a number of museums are also on hand to enable visitors to explore the city’s diverse history. Here are just a few of the attractions:

The medieval city wall. Today, two of the twelve original gates are still standing, the Priory gate and the Tower gate. Sections of the city wall itself also survive, with the best-preserved section located within Lady Herbert’s Garden, which is also open to the public.

The old cathedral ruins. German bombs destroyed the original cathedral; however, these are some of the most picturesque ruins you’ll see, and include the original stained-glass windows that have remained intact, and the famous “Charred Cross”.
