Mexico’s Unknowns
 by: Tyler Brooker

Mexico… The place to party. It’s the perfect destination to relax on the beach, barter with locals, drink tequila, and get a tan. For the most part, Mexico is considered a fairly safe place to visit if you will be in the safety of an all inclusive resort. This was the attitude of Pamela Woods, just 3 months ago, on her trip to Mexico which was drastically different than she expected.

I dont want to be costing the resort all kinds of money and give them a bad reputation, so I will keep the name of the resort confidential. But what I will tell you is the story of Pamela Woods.

Pam is a family girl, as she is married to a nice doctor, and has 2 wonderful daughters. Her life went in a spin 3 months ago, during her visit to an all inclusive resort in http://www.mymexicotravelguide.com mexico. One of her daughers, and her husband, drove down from canada, to meet the other daughter and herself at the resort. All was well when the family was together again, but the second evening of mexico wasn’t so spectacular.

On the first Sunday of every month, Pasadena City College hosts a flea market and swap meet, from 8:00am to 3:00pm. This flea market is located on the Pasadena City College campus, 1570 E. Colorado Blvd. Pasadena, CA. 91106, (626) 585-7906, on parking lots 1-4 along the south side. and the west side (Hill St.).

Over 450 vendors can be found there selling everything from high end antiques and collectibles to toys and tools to new, used and vintage clothing and used furniture. The prices are low, the lines are short and the vendors are friendly and helpful. There are also approximetly seventy (70) record vendors offering to sell and swap records, compact disks and memorabilia ranging from the big bands era to present day performers. Again the prices are quite reasonable and the vendors are friendly, helpfull and knowledgeable. They not only enjoy selling and swaping music items, they also enjoy talking about records and the music world. By the way, this is said to be one of the largest, if not the largest, record selling venues in Southern California.

Niagara Falls–Is it Worth the Trip?

Niagara Falls–Is it Worth the Trip?
 by: Lila Kahn

For years Niagara Falls has been one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States and Canada. Visitors from abroad and North America cannot seem to shake their desire to visit this dramatic aquatic spectacle. But why exactly? The falls are not particularly convenient to any major U.S. city (apologies to Buffalo), which means visitors to the US will need at least two days to fit in a visit to Niagara. Furthermore besides the actual falls themselves, there is little in the way of cultural or natural points of interest in the area. That is unless you consider a visit to ‘Ripley’s Believe it or Not’ to be a cultural experience. Finally, the climate in the Niagara region is rather daunting for much of the year. The area gets a lot of precipitation throughout the year and winter is definitely rugged in that region.

Planning a Vegas Themed Wedding
 by: Delroy Legaire

Vegas Themed Wedding Extravaganza

You can plan your Las Vegas theme wedding even if you can’t

actually get there. Who stops you from creating a themed

wedding extravaganza right where you are? All it takes is a

little shopping and a lot of imagination. And you can create

an evening, full of fun for all that come.

The Vegas theme invitation

The first step in wedding planning is the invitation.

Announce your intentions for a Vegas theme in the invitation

itself. Create an invitation that looks like a betting

ticket or a card that includes a few playing cards with the

invitation details. Your invitation card can even look like

something from one of the hotels or casinos.

The ceremony

How about decorating the venue of the wedding ceremony like

a Vegas chapel? That will provide the perfect backdrop for

the themed wedding ceremony. If you need more ideas you can

go online to see some of the chapels there. Otherwise, you

can just throw in a lot of bright colors and flashing lights

Monaco for The Fast and The Furious

Monaco for The Fast and The Furious
 by: Tom Matosevic

Of all the sporting events in the world, none can match the glamour and excitement of the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix.

More than just a car race, it transcends sport to become Europe’s premier sporting and social event. Even just the name conjures up images of sun-soaked celebrities, expensive yachts and even more expensive living. But this image is somewhat misleading. Monaco is far more accessible and affordable than it appears.

F1 Grand Prix weekend is definitely the best time to visit Monaco. This may go against all the advice you’ve ever heard about travelling in the off-season to avoid crowds. But it is the crowds - the spectators - who lend this event the carnival atmosphere it’s so famous for. Everyone from self-made millionaires to budget backpackers is there for the pivotal race on the Formula 1 calendar.

Even if you have no interest in motor sports, you can’t help but get swept up in the atmosphere.

The Monaco F1 Grand Prix has been held on the first Sunday after Ascension Day since its modern inception in 1950. It determines the staging of the races for the entire Grands Prix season.
