Skiing at Breckenridge Mountain
by: Scott Palat
As you drive into the town of Breckenridge, you can see Breckenridge Mountain and many of the lifts. Breckenridge Mountain has four peaks and each is labeled peak 10, peak 9, peak 8 and peak 7. You can ski all four of Breckenridge’s peaks in one day if you are up for a hike. The only peak accessible by lift is Peak 8.
Breckenridge has many green trails which are perfect of beginners. So do not be intimidated when you see the tops of the mountains, because you will not have to ride the lifts to the top to enjoy all the skiing that Breckenridge has to offer. If you are an intermediate skier, Breckenridge has plenty of blue and black runs that offer wide open skiing or tree skiing.
If you enjoy extreme skiing, you’ll love Breckenridge Mountain! You can hike any of the four peaks and on peak 8, the lift that will take you to the top.
The Imperial Express Superchair will take you 12,840 feet high to the top of peak 8. From here, you will be able to see the town of Breckenridge, Quandary Mountain, Baldy Mountain, Ten Mile range, Lake Dillon and Keystone Resort. Be sure to bring your camera so your memories last forever.

Put Your Budget Travel Plans on Autopilot
by: Charles Brown
Face it, the biggest cost of travel is usually just getting there. Airfare these days is driven by fuel costs, which are driven by whoever is about to sneeze in the Middle East. So what is a person looking for budget adventure travel to do?
I’m glad you asked.
Here are three sites that can help you track down the cheapest airfare like Pooh on the prowl for a jar of honey. (Hey I’m a father who has read a million bedtime stories, what can I say?)
–FareWatchers (www.farewatchers.com) offers two types of e-mail alerts: one when Travelocity’s lowest fare between two targeted cities changes up or down by more than $25 and the other when the fare falls below a threshold set by the subscriber
–The Orbitz Web site, www.orbitz.com, offers Deal Detector, which keeps searching for a price you set for particular cities and dates. A nice feature is being able to have the service check on other airports in an area and enter a span of dates for your travel rather than being limited to specific days.

Romantic Travel Ideas for the Romantically Challenged
by: Charles Brown
Are you romantically challenged? Do you want to show that special person your romantic side but just cannot come up with those great ideas that will sweep him or her into your arms? (Me too).
Anyway, I was doing a Google search for “romantic travel ideas” and came across the following list on Romantic Getaway Ideas.
Not only does this list already contain such great ideas as romantic strolls along San Antonio’s River Walk, Autumn road through New England, staying at quaint Bed and Breakfasts, and candlelight dinner at a Cancun resort followed by laying on the beach until sunrise; the list keeps growing as new readers ad their own suggestions for the perfect romantic getaway.
OK, some of you may not have a romantic bone in your bodies, but you are missing out if you don’t even try. I know my brain doesn’t naturally follow this line of thinking without some sort of inspiration (hence the Google search).
So if you want to take your Romantic Quotient (RQ) to the next level, check this list out.

A Great Vacation Begins At Home
by: Charles Brown
Great budget adventure travel begins at home. If you prepare for your trip before you walk out your front door, your vacation will be better organized, more full of all the exciting extra experiences to make it more memorable and you will almost certainly save significant money.
Not only that, you will be better able to put together a budget adventure travel experience to give you an insurmountable bragging edge over your friends and neighbors.
Start with research. No I am not talking about the dry, dusty book stacks that haunt your memories of college when you had put off an important paper until the last minute and your friends were out on the town while you were playing catch up with the librarian.
I am talking about going online, to the bookstore, and maybe to the library (but rest assured, the travel section probably does not contain dusty stacks).
1. Where do you want to go?
Using Charter Flights For Discount Travel

Using Charter Flights For Discount Travel
by: Brandon C. Hall
Almost anyone will probably agree that in a perfect world they’d be able to travel more. It is one of the most natural human desires to want to see different parts of the world and experience new things. And anyone who has traveled will probably agree that you don’t really appreciate or think about your home too much until you have the perspective of seeing how people live in other parts of the world.
The problem of course, is that travel has always been expensive. Although airfares have gotten cheaper over the years, they are still expensive enough that most people don’t fly regularly, and this is likely to remain the case. So unless you plan on suddenly getting rich, you’re going to have to come up with some discount travel solutions if you want to fly more, and a great thing to look into if you’re looking for a cheap flight are charter flights.
Masai Tribe

Masai Tribe
by: Joe Ngugi
The Masai tribe or Maasai are an indigenous African tribe located mainly in southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. They live along the Great Rift Valley on semi-arid and arid lands.
The Maasai are the most well known tribe from East Africa. They are characteristically tall and slender.
The Maasai are popular for their tradition of hair plaits, heavy iron necklaces, and fierce warriors. They are often illustrated carrying a spear and a Masai shield.
The Masai’s unique hair style is a symbol of their tradition and culture. Individuals prove they are true Morans (warriors) by wearing the plaits.
The total population of the Maasai tribe is estimated at around 900,000. They have largely managed to maintain their traditional ways despite modernization in East Africa.
The Masai tribe is part of the Nilotic family of African tribal groups. The nilotes migrated from the Nile valley in to Sudan. They them moved to central and south-western Kenya and northern Tanzania after 1500 AD.
The Masai people speak the Maasai language. This is an Eastern Nilotic language closely related to Samburu language.

Cockney Rhyming Slang
by: J Square Humboldt
Sir Winston Churchill once observed that Americans and the British are ‘a common people divided by a common language’ …
Never was that as true as when describing the Cockneys.
You’ve certainly heard their accent, made famous in everything from movies based on Dickens and George Bernard Shaw novels to computer-generated gekkos telling real gekkos how to go forth and sell car insurance. The Australian accent has its roots in Cockney culture, as they comprised a large percentage of prisoners who were shipped there by the British when they viewed the Land Down Under as an ideal penal colony. Cockneys are the crafty characters from east London who admire those among their lot who can make a living simply by ‘ducking and diving, mate,’ which is their version of wheeling and dealing on a working-class level.
To be a ‘true’ Cockney, one must be born ‘within the sounds of the Bow bells.’ That’s a reference to the St Mary-le-Bow Church in the Cheapside district of London ‘proper.’ Their sound carries to a distance of approximately three miles, which defines the Cockney digs better than any zoning ordinance could do.
