Sorting Out Tuscany Italy
 by: Clinton Maxwell

Let me show you an easy way to get to know the Tuscany region and with this, different tuscany villas rental holiday homes.

+ Reliving in Renaissance Times- can be found in the towns or cities of Cerretto Guide, Vinci, Montelupe Fiorentino and Empoli. I stayed at the Poderio Zollaio apartments on the outskirts of Vinci. There is a choice of four completely different holiday home styles typical in tuscany.

There was a mini-apartment with wooden beamed arches which separated the bedroom from the rest of the living quarters. There was another which was a duplex having the living room, sitting room and kitchenette on the ground floor and the bedroom up a winding staircase. There was still another with a nice balcony for outdoor dining in the warm summer months and a smaller living area. Leonardo Da Vinci is said to have been born a few kilometres from this picturesque village and to have brought it fame.

The Perfect Opportunity To Admire Malaga
 by: Clinton Maxwell

The Costa del Sol where Malaga is found, is one the places in Spain where you find so much history in such a small space. And it does not matter in what direction you travel, you are going to come across ruins and all kinds of traces that take you hundreds of years back in time. But the best part is that you are not only going to find culture during the day but also the real up to date culture of the thrilling night life that this Mediterranean city can offer nowadays.

Tourist Stroll around Malaga

El Alcazaba is one of the most important monuments to see here. It was the palace of the kings starting in the 11th c. surrounded by beautiful gardens filled with fountains which lead to an old Roman Amphitheatre. Today it is used as the Provincial Archaeological Museum which houses interesting pieces from the Palaeolithic times and other Mediterranean cultures.

Weekend Getaways and Mini- Vacations!
 by: Joe Collinsworth

You need to get away, but don’t have the time or money to take a week or two off to head to your favorite destinations. Many people count out taking a weekend and heading to a semi-local vacation spot that allows them to get away, relax, enjoy time alone or together, and find romance, rest, fun, or whatever it is you are looking for in a vacation.

The beauty of weekend getaways is that you can travel on a budget and not miss work, kids activities, and so forth. For a few years while in school, my wife and I never had enough time or money to take a full fledged trip, so we would take little weekend trips a few times a year experiencing more types of travel than if we had taken one big trip.

So, we have put together a simple list of weekend getaways that you can print out and enjoy immediately. Many of the ideas we mention are generalized to any area of the world, however we will mention various locations that are close to where we live as examples. Use your imagination to brainstorm destinations that are within driving range and quite affordable.

River cruise in Bangkok - sightseeing on the Chao Phraya River
 by: Eric LIm

A river cruise in Bangkok on the Chao Phraya River gives the visitor an overview of the legacies on this river of kings. The historical monuments, grand palaces, temples and various communities on the riverbanks present a historical insight into the city and also a picture of stark contrasts.

It needn’t have to be an elaborate affair; you can cut the frills and expenses. Plan the river cruise yourself for a more meaningful Bangkok sightseeing tour from the Chao Phraya River.

At 370 km, the Chao Phraya River is the longest river in Thailand. It’s headwaters start in Nakhon Sawan, more than 200 km north of Bangkok. The river continues past Bangkok to Samut Prakan and flows into the Gulf of Thailand to the south.

Chao Phraya is also the highest title in ancient Thai nobility, similar to the Duke in British nobility. The title is no longer in use.

Attractions, landmarks and views in a river cruise in Bangkok

Start the river cruise from the Sathorn Pier near the Taksin Bridge; five minutes walk from the Taksin Bridge skytrain station, the terminal station for trains from the city center.

Things To Do While Visiting Dublin
 by: Niall Cinneide

With a population of almost half a million, Dublin is the capital and largest city on the island of Ireland. It was originated in 488AD as a shipping port while going through the Irish Sea and has progressively grown into a modern day city throughout the years.

Today Dublin is a mixture of the old and the new Metro and they merge nicely from the downtown area out into the suburbs.

Dublin has a sizable number of immigrants, coming from Great Britain, the US, Australia, New Zealand, and continental Europe. More recently, Nigerian, Indian, and Eastern European populations have also migrated into the city, largely attracted by Ireland’s economic success since the mid-1990’s. Old and once run-down streets have rapidly become busy ‘ethnic districts’, such as Moore Street’s transformation into ‘Little Africa’ and Parnell Street East into the city’s de-facto ‘Chinatown’ and ‘Asian Village’. These villages are a great way for tourists to spend the afternoon, casually walking the cobblestone streets, shopping and having lunch!

There is plenty to do in Dublin if you are on vacation or sightseeing.

Mauna Kea in Hawaii - Driving to the Summit of this Grand Volcano

Mauna Kea in Hawaii - Driving to the Summit of this Grand Volcano
 by: Steven Anderson

The summit of Mauna Kea is called Puu Wekiu and it is at an elevation of 13,796 feet. This is the highest point of land in the Pacific Basin. An interesting fact about Mauna Kea is that if measured from the bottom of the ocean floor, it reaches nearly 30,000 feet which would make it the tallest peak on earth.

Visitors flock to Mauna Kea for a variety of reasons. There are 11 domes and 13 telescopes at the peak of Mauna Kea which attracts professional and amateur astronomers alike. Others come for the amazing viewpoints, unique bird watching and rugged hiking. Others come to Mauna Kea just to say they did so.

The drive up Mauna Kea takes about an hour. At the start, the driver will see typical Hawaiian tropical vegetation. As you pass sea level, the landscape changes to grass pastures and then into raggedy looking forests of koa and ohia trees. These thin out at 6,000 feet and the landscape becomes dominated by barren lava flows. The sub alpine regions found after the 6,500 foot level still support a few koa and ohia trees and even the rare mamane tree. All vegetation beyond 8,500 feet becomes very scarce.

Twelve Sails To The Wind In Valencia Spain
 by: Ciara McNamara

Before, the city of Valencia Spain used to be synonymous to Valencia Fallas and to the great city within a city called The City of Arts and Science built by the famous and very innovative Santiago Calatrava. But now, whenever someone mentions Valencia the name Americas Cup pops up or vice-versa. When the Valencians heard their city named mentioned back in November of 2003, they felt that they had been born again. They had long desired to be connected to some international event that would give them an honourable place in history, and they were longing to show, that through hard work, they would earn it.

Top Tips For Saving Money On Car Rental Rates
 by: Jack Grocott

Rental cars are leased to users who don’t have access to their own automobiles, such as when travelling. They can be hired from rental car centres. Car hire in Britain & USA has become a highly competitive market with the arrival of online booking and bargain air tickets offering a car hire package deal. As a result prices are very keen. The big rental companies are having to look at their online strategies as a result. Another growth area is the decision many people have made to give up their private car and opt for renting when they need one. This has given rise to home deliveries and one way car hire in Britain, proving to be a very popular sector.

Top Tips For Saving Money On Car Rental Rates

· Compare car rental rates on the internet and find a bargain

· Comparison shop on any ‘extras’ such as damage waiver

· Check the companies mileage policy to avoid additional charges.

· Make your reservation as soon as you know what you want. A lot of car rental companies increase their reservation rates as fleets become booked.

Surprises In Valencia Spain
 by: Ciara McNamara

I have been an avid visitor on my holiday to the city of Valencia since 1980, and only noticed slight improvements and changes as far as its tourist offers were concerned, but in the last five or six years, this city has so much to do that I find myself travelling there whenever I can. I have always been fascinated by the Saint Joseph Festival of Fallas, then came the opening of the first buildings in the complex called ‘The City of the Arts and Sciences’, with the last building just recently opened. But living on the coast, you indirectly get caught in the tidal wave of sailing and the Americas Cup event which started in Valencia on 26th of November 2003 and which has brought many people into the world of navigating.

Yearly Valencia Happenings

Valencia Fallas is a yearly happening which reaches its highest points on the night of March 19th after having initiated the beginning on March 15th with stunning carton monuments on almost every corner, half hour long fireworks every night, historical parades of the Moorish in the streets and the local people dressed up in their best brocade traditional outfits in a jovial religious procession bringing flowers to the Virgin of the Unsheltered ( the Patron Saint of Valencia).

Traveling With Pets
 by: Dana Goldberg

Sometime things happen and you need to leave right away. If you have pets, this can cause a major problem. What if no one is available to watch your pet? If you don’t want to leave you pet at a shady kennel where most dogs are kept in cages, you can simply take them with you; it’s easier than you would ever imagine.

Most airlines allow pets. Some airlines even allow your pet to be carried onto the plain if it is small enough to put into a kennel that will easily slide under the seat in front of you. If the dog is too large, it will be kept in cargo which is temperature and pressure regulated just like the passenger area. It is imperative to make sure that your airline will make accommodations for your pet as there are a few discount airlines that will not. Especially if you buy your airline tickets online, call ahead to verify their policies.
