Thinking Ahead: Planning For Vacation Emergencies Part I
by: Danielle Mitchell
Vacation time is a time of fun and excitement, and it’s easy to get swept away in the anticipation of your upcoming trip. But before you embark on your dream vacation, take a few minutes to consider the possibility of medical emergency situations that could arise during your trip to the Caribbean.
Planning a trip to the beautiful Caribbean should be a wonderful experience, and no one wants to think about negative things, but the truth is, anything can happen at any time. Consider what you would do in case a health emergency occurs while you’re on vacation. You could save yourself a lot of heartache and frustration in the long run.
Since you cannot predict medical emergencies, there are things you can do to be prepared just in case. Before departing for your Caribbean destination, be sure to carry with you emergency contact information, medication, and health insurance information. Then, make sure to locate medical facilities on the island.

Saving Money On Travel These Holidays
by: James Brown
Holiday travel is expensive! Gas prices are unpredictable, hotel rates can be high for the peak travel season, and rental cars are always more pricey than you’d like them to be. Thanks to online coupons you may find a great deal of savings on the trips you have to make to friends, relatives and loved ones. Why pay full price when you can print a coupon off the website?
In many cases, the Internet coupons you’ll find are “affiliate discounts”. This means you have to “Click Here” and get referred to a site like Avis.com where your discount is applied thanks to your click. One “click here” discount coupon at simplybestcoupons.com gives you fifteen dollars off a compact to full size rental. Another coupon click offers ten percent off a compact to full size rental.
And what about those hotel discounts? The Radisson Hot Hotel Deals coupons go up to fifty percent off. Who wouldn’t want to save half their hotel bill, especially during holiday gift-giving season? Your travel expenses could go down dramatically, all with a few simple mouse clicks.

Puerto Galera Travel Guide
by: John Grant
The Philippines is a country gifted with great beaches. The better known beaches are those found in Boracay and Palawan. Another beach or resorts worth mentioning are those found on the Mindoro’s northern part in the province of Oriental Mindoro. The place is called Puerto Galera. It is locate south of Manila (130 kilometers south) and 14 nautical miles from Batangas City.
You can go to Puerto Galera from Manila to Batangas using only land routes. When you arrive on Batangas, you would then need to ride a ferry to transport you. The ferry trip will be 1 to 2 hours long.
You have two options to go to Puerto Galera, the cheaper way or the more expensive way. The more expensive way is generally a faster way to get there. The more expensive one will make you ride the MV Super 85 Ferry and Sikat and Bus Services. Riding them is more expensive because they have no stop-overs, board the passengers directly to the ferries and are coasters or vans that are provided by the company.
The Canadian Rockies: Trail Of The Grizzly

The Canadian Rockies: Trail Of The Grizzly
by: Steven Cronin
Over and over the huge grizzly bear stabs her powerful paw into the mountain river, fishing for her breakfast in the chilly, shallow water. A cool, crisp mountain breeze drifts through the valley; moist morning dew blankets the ground. The soothing sound of running water plays continuously as the sun scales the mountain peaks and illuminates the dawn sky.
There can be few places on earth with the raw, natural beauty displayed throughout the Rocky Mountains. Vast forests race up the huge grey, granite faces until the grade becomes too steep to support the great myriad of roots. Songs of birds emanate through the deep valley as they sing and dance amongst the tall trees. The still waters of the broad lake mirror the gathering, grey clouds forming in the sky. Rainfall looks likely.
Upstream from the lake, the grizzly perseveres in her attempts to catch salmon. Her young cub watches inquisitively; her only chance of survival is to learn the predatory skills of her mother.
A clap of thunder echoes around the valley; angry clouds combine to mask the sun. The light darkens and shadows disappear. Birds scatter from their perches in the lofty trees and circle overhead, assessing what the weather will do next.

by: John Grant
Boracay in the Philippines is among one of the best beaches in the world. It is because of the great sand and clean waters that make Boracay a wonderful beach to relax. There are also lots of establishments there in Boracay that can make their experience better. The nightlife there during peak seasons such as holy weeks and all saints day is great because lots of people go to Boracay to have fun.
But what happens to Boracy during the off-season when the bad winds arrive? It may seem stupid for lots of people to go there when the winds are scary and the rain is pouring. Who would want to swim when the rain pours and makes you chill more? The rain will also make people think that it will dampen their merry night life. But here are some reasons why it is still ok to go to Boracay even if it is off-season. Here are some reasons that can help convince people that Boracay is great no matter what season it is.

Booking Your Holiday
by: Joseph Kenny
There are many ways to go about planning and booking your holiday. You can go into a travel agent and get a package deal, which included flights, car rental, hotel accommodation, and maybe even some of the activities that you would like to do when you get there.
Booking Online
A slightly more adventurous way and time consuming approach is to go online and find out what is available. Book your own flights, find your own hotel, arrange your own car rental, and do what you choose. This method of holiday planning requires a lot more effort from you. You have to be prepared to come with your own destination, then research on the various flight offers that are available and make sure you a get a good deal, you also have to look up hotels in the area and find a good hotel at a good price that is in the area and with the amenities you want.

Travel Insurance - Do I Really Need To Buy Cover For A Holiday In Britain?
by: Michael Challiner
Last week my wife and I booked a seven day holiday in Tobermory on the wonderful Isle of Mull. All that grand scenery with brightly painted houses clustered around the harbour. Hands up who knows Tobermory as Balamory!
You could have knocked me down with a feather when the travel agent assumed that I wanted travel insurance for an additional £27.50. Not on your Nellie the Lock Ness monster, I thought. I can spot a rip off when I see one! Who needs insurance for a trip to another destination in Britain? The NHS is free and in an emergency, my daughter could drive up and take us home.
Later in the comfortable setting of my lounge I got to thinking .
Holiday disasters don’t only happen abroad. So I made a list of the risks:
One of us could be taken ill before we depart and we’d be forced to cancel. As the ferries and the hotel were non-cancellable, we’d lose everything we’d paid.
