Finding A Cheap Ticket For Your Flight
by: Sintilia Miecevole
With gasoline prices going through the roof and increased costs due to new security measurements, airline ticket prices have risen drastically in the last few years. Flights that were once under two hundred dollars can now cost up to three times as much as before. However, it is still possible to find a cheap ticket if you are willing to be flexible and to do a little research. The Internet is a great tool for helping you find affordable deals that leave you with a little extra cash to spend on your vacation.
Today’s most popular way to locate cheap tickets is through online discount sites like Expedia and Hotwire. These two sites and others like them are devoted to finding discount travel rates on cars, flights and hotels. You can type in a departure and arrival city and the dates you want to travel, and the site will search its databases and bring up a list of budget rates. The more flexible you are, the greater your chances of finding a cheap ticket.
The History Of Argos

The History Of Argos
by: Jakob Jelling
Argos is an ancient Greek city which is part of the prefecture of Argolis, in the region of the Peloponnese. It has four main subdivisions: Kokla, Larissa, Akova, and Timenio. This city has gone through several interesting historical events, and its past is among the main factors which attract tourists to its lands.
During the Mycenaean times, the city of Argos was an important stronghold, and was seen by the rest of the region as a strategic spot. This area was one of the first spots in the region in being inhabited and to become a town, only equaled by the acropolis of Tiryns and Mycenae.
In the Homeric times, the city of Argos was ruled by a follower of Agamemnon, and the name of the district in which this city is located, Argolis, was originated from such époque. Later, during the Romans, the region would be known as Argeia since that was the name given by these inhabitants.
During the Persian War, Argos was asked to fight and refused to do so, which caused it to be somehow despised by many of the neighboring cities for certain period of time. This was one of the most critical and difficult moments in the history of Argos, although it was soon overcome and become part of the past.

Be Neighbourly In Your Orlando Vacation Home
by: Peter Kenny
People who choose to stay full time can have numerous reasons for doing so. They could be Disney employees thus enjoying the luxury of a very short journey time to work, since the majority of vacation rental villas are very well situated to access Walt Disney World and all it has to offer. Some residents own vacation homes in and around where they stay and they like to be close at hand to keep an eye on their property and look after their guests themselves. Others may have some kind of occupation related in some way to the hospitality/vacation industry. Then again you may just find some friendly folks who like the idea of having new and different neighbours every few weeks!
Having full time residents nearby can be a great thing. They very much enjoy visitors to their area and those who settle there full-time are well used to new neighbours every one or two weeks and are very friendly and keen to learn you are enjoying your stay and having a fabulous vacation.

Niagara Falls: 3 Tips To Having The Best Vacation
by: Tim Jeffries
Is Niagara Falls your dream destination? Don’t be afraid to admit it. For a lot of people, it is. Niagara Falls is always at the top of the “places I want to runaway and get married” list. Well, Niagara Falls might not be giving Vegas a run for it’s money these days, but it’s still holding strong in a lot of people’s minds as a place that they dream of for a variety of reasons. Japanese, American, and European tourists constantly rate it one of the best attractions in North America. I’ve compiled a list of three of my top tips to getting the most of a great Niagara Falls vacation.
1) IMAX. Don’t overlook the power of technology at a natural attraction. IMAX can add a great 3rd party viewpoint to any attraction. In fact, a lot of times, I’ll go see an IMAX production before seeing the real thing to get an idea of what to look for. There might be all sorts of history attached to an attraction that you won’t know without someone telling you. Niagara Falls has an IMAX production that you should definitely watch.

Hong Kong Hotels - The Best Places To Stay During The Chinese New Year’s Celebration
by: John Riggin
The New Year’s celebration is Hong Kong’s biggest event of the year. The three-day extravaganza includes a colorful parade on the first day, a brilliant display of fireworks over Victoria Harbour on the second day and horse races on the third. To best take advantage of all Hong Kong has to offer during this celebration, travelers should stay near the action. Fortunately, Hong Kong has long been a popular destination for both business and pleasure travelers and fantastic hotels are abundant in the area.
The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong is a five star hotel located close to the New Year’s parade route. Rooms feature spectacular views of Victoria Peak, the city or, for a higher price, the harbor. The décor is elegant and traditional. However, the Ritz-Carlton’s greatest strength is its amazing level of service. The numerous helpful staff members work hard to make guests feel pampered and appreciated. Tasty complimentary cookies are always available in the reception area, a favorite perk for guests.

Taking in Australia’s Wine Country
by: Josh Cheak
The Enchantment of Australia’s Wine Country
The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about
Australia is usually not the wine. However, Australia has
some beautiful wine country with five distinct regions in
the state of South Australia. The wine is delicious, and
the scenery spectacular. And, in typical Australian
fashion, there is no reason to hurry through any of it.
In Adelaide Hills, you can enjoy the comforts and pace of
the country, yet be close enough to one of Australia’s major
cities, Adelaide, with all of its attractions. The
attractions of Adelaide Hills include plenty of vineyards to
tour and wine to taste. It is close to the state of Victoria
and you can even see some beautiful Victorian countryside.
Barossa. One of Australia’s best wine producing regions,
this valley is an absolute treat. Known throughout the world
as a premier wine producer, Barossa’s beauty and wine
producing capabilities have attracted many European
influences. Many of Barossa’s villages resemble those found
in Germany or England in terms of their architecture, tone

Crime Against Caribbean Travelers: Getting to the Bottom of It
by: Jennifer Smith
Since the 1980’s the Caribbean region has been struggling against its own inner demon: crime. The islands of the Caribbean have quickly learned that rising crime rates on one island can still effect other islands in the region negatively. While the islands still offer some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, travelers may feel less secure in their relaxation.
Several recent news stories about crimes in the Caribbean, the most well-known being the disappearance of Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway, have brought back the debate over how to keep the islands safe for travelers. It has even inspired a conference in late October and a statement by the Caribbean Commissioners of Police. These efforts have been made to help travelers feel more secure in their vacations, especially as the Caribbean’s tourist season approaches.
Studying Crimes
One of the biggest problems in studying crime among the islands has been that, until recently, few efforts had been made to distinguish crime against island residents from crime against visitors. This has become an important trend in fighting crime in the islands. Since these studies have begun exploring these statistics it has become clear that violent crimes against vacationers in the Caribbean islands are indeed rare occurrences. While Jamaica, for example, may be known for its high murder rates, the vast majority of these are crimes by Jamaican nationals against Jamaican nationals.

Challenge Yourself: Travel Alone
by: Eric Odom
Now let’s be honest, this isn’t going to be easy.
I find traveling alone to more of a mental workout than anything. When you travel with a few friends or a significant other, you have several other people encouraging the hard decisions to be made in one direction or another. When it is just you, you have no “yeah let’s go there” or “I want a beer in Ireland”. It’s just you. You have to make the decisions. You have to buy the plane ticket and plan everything from scratch. You’ve got to hit the search engines and find the information, you’ve got to figure out exactly how Europe works and you are going to drive yourself mad wanting to know what a youth hostel is. Traveling alone isn’t as easy as it sounds.
Ok, so are you scared yet? You shouldn’t be.
Actually, I was only kidding. If you slow your mind down and just understand that a truly unique journey does not begin when you step off the plane, rather, it begins when you confirm the purchase of your airline ticket before you even begin planning your trip.

7 Tips For Travel Trips
by: Jill Newry
We love taking trips, whether it’s a short road trip, or a longer trip by air to some distant exotic place. But all too often we fail to plan for our trip and the result is frustration and annoyance.
1. For road trips, get the right maps and plan your route thoroughly. Everything won’t go exactly to plan, but at least you’ll have much fewer nasty surprises.
2. Never, ever make a joke about bombs or terrorists near security at an airport. Many people have jokingly mentioned they have a small bomb in their case as their luggage is being inspected. Later at the police station they deeply regretted their stupidity.
3. Be immediately suspicious in airports, railway or bus stations when someone bumps into you. It may be a pickpocket. Also be aware if something is spilled on you, or a spot on your clothing is pointed out to you. These things are designed to distract your attention from what is really going on: the theft of your valuables.

Don’t Leave Home Without It: Tips for Packing for the Caribbean
by: Jennifer Smith
No matter who you are, it’s easy to get caught up in the fun and excitement of taking a trip to the Caribbean. And, of course, that means it’s easy to forget a few items you’ll need. Most can be picked up later, but the items on this list are essential.
Tickets, Hotel Reservations, and Other Bookings: Make sure you bring any paperwork you might need for any tickets and reservations you have.
Passports and Photo IDs: No matter what each nation requests for entry, you’ll need to make sure you have it handy when you reach land. Recently tightened restrictions mean travelers may want to check twice before traveling in 2006.
Appropriate Attire: While many travelers have no problem wearing beach attire into local shops, this may bother locals. Make sure to look into island customs before packing, and remember to keep it light - light-weight and light-colored materials will keep you feeling cool.
